Daniel Kleijn

Daniel Kleijn is a Managing Director in the Corporate Advisory practice for Lazard in Australia. Daniel has successfully executed over $100 billion of transactions across a broad range of advisory services, including: takeover response advisory, public and private M&A advisory, strategic advisory, equity and debt capital markets advisory, and restructuring.
Daniel has a Master of Economics degree from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, is a member of the Kaplan M&A Taskforce and a mentor to not-for-profit and charity CEOs with Kilfinan Australia.

Luke Bentvelzen

Luke Bentvelzen is an Executive Director in UBS' Corporate Client Solutions division, based in Sydney. Luke has 12 years' investment banking experience, including as Co-Head of the Emerging Companies team since 2014. He has advised clients on over 50 completed M&A and capital markets transactions across a broad range of sectors including technology, leisure, industrials and private equity.

Philippe Perzi

Philippe is a managing director in the Financial Institutions Group in Australia and New Zealand, specializing in M&A, financing and corporate financial advisory for financial institution clients including banks, insurers, wealth and asset managers, and diversified and specialist financial services companies. He joined Goldman Sachs as an executive director in 2015 and was named managing director in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Philippe spent 13 years in the Financial Institutions Group at Macquarie Capital in Sydney. Phillippe earned a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) from the University of Western Australia and a Masters of Finance from INSEAD. He has also qualified as a chartered accountant.

Dr Michelle Deaker is the founder and Managing Partner of OneVentures, a leading Australian venture capital firm established in 2006. OneVentures invests in technology companies that serve or disrupt large high growth global markets. The firm has $320M in funds under management across 3 main funds and 8 co-investment funds.

Michelle has extensive experience in the development of high growth technology companies, a strong background in Australian R&D and expertise in international business expansion. She is a former successful entrepreneur and business owner with over 18 years experience in information technology, enterprise businesses targeting finance, retail, media, security and education. She has served on the Boards of listed and unlisted companies across media and information technologies in Australia and North America.

Benjamin Chong

Benjamin has a track record of investing in and building successful Internet-related businesses over the last twenty years. These include Online Agility, an incubator and developer of online businesses, Jetabroad, one of Australia’s leading online travel companies, and Online Marketing Group. Benjamin has served on the boards of a number of portfolio companies. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales with First Class Honours, Benjamin began his career consulting in the areas of ecommerce strategy, online marketing, and technology for major international clients such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Volvo, Sony, and Toyota. Benjamin was named National Young Business Person of the Year by Young Achievement Australia and is a member of the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCAL).

Today he spends time as a partner at Right Click Capital where he invests in early stage technology businesses. He is also a managing director at Siemer/Right Click Capital, who assist technology businesses with M&A and IPOs. Benjamin is director of the Founder Institute in Sydney, helping early stage founders build meaningful and during technology business through an education program.

As CTO, Pasha drives the technology and product that allows virtual internships to help students gain the practical skills required to thrive in high-performing companies.
Previous to founding InsideSherpa, Pasha was the head of growth acquisitions and a senior product manager at the ASX-listed Freelancer.com, where he managed multiple product teams to help the 26 million freelancers and employers on the platform. Pasha studied Commerce and Philosophy at the University of New South Wales and started his career in KPMG’s management consulting arm.

Ryan Felsman


Ryan Felsman is Senior Economist at CommSec. In his role, Ryan is responsible for the analysis of economic trends and developments in the Australian and global economy, as well as the likely impact on equity markets. He writes regular commentaries and presents to clients and customers across the Commonwealth Bank Group. And he appears regularly on Sunrise and Sky Business as part of his media commitments.

Ryan has been with the CBA Group for over seven years. Prior to joining CommSec, Ryan was an Investment Manager in the Global Resources equities team at Colonial First State Global Asset Management. He joined Colonial in 2010 as Senior Investment Communications Manager in the Global Fixed Income and Credit team and also worked as a Senior Analyst in the Economic and Market Research team. Ryan has over 20 years funds management experience and worked at a number of institutions including AMP, Goldman Sachs, PIMCO and State Street.

Jordan Eliseo

Jordan has been Chief Economist for ABC Bullion, Australia's largest independent bullion dealer, since March 2013, where he was responsible for building the ABC Bullion Gold Saver, Australia's first fully automated bullion savings plan, as well as publishing the annual SMSF Trustees Physical Bullion Investment Guide. He is also the author of two books; "Gold for Australian Investors" and "Dire Straits: Money for Nothing--Debt for Free", a book that looks at the root causes of the GFC, it's unresolved challenges, and how investors can protect capital in the coming years. Jordan has spent several years managing investment analytics teams for companies including Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and Cazenove Capital in both Sydney and London, before taking up a role with AMP Capital in 2010.

He has been heavily involved in the precious metals and natural resources sector, running a successful investment fund that has been capitalising on the mining boom since 2003. During this time, he has built a strong network of contacts in the Australian and International markets. He is also a founding partner of a boutique advice business with their own Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) who specialise in personal financial advice and investment advice.

Peter Crone

Peter has more than 25 years of experience advising on economics, public policy and strategy at the highest levels of government and business in Australia. He recently joined EY’s ‘Economics, Regulation and Policy’ practice in the role of Chief Economist for its Oceania business. Peter brings deep experience in assessing and explaining economic and regulatory trends at play across markets and industries.

His perspectives help support EY teams to deliver exceptional client service and address the many complex issues faced by government and corporate clients in Oceania. Peter previously worked in chief economist roles at both the Coles Group and the Business Council of Australia. He was senior economic adviser to Prime Minister John Howard and to Premier Jeff Kennett, was Executive Officer of the National Commission of Audit and has experience as a commercial adviser to a number of Australian superannuation funds on their infrastructure investments. 

Joanne Masters

Over 15 years of investment banking experience in Australia, with a focus on economic research, currency strategy and sales. In this time, Joanne has built a profile as a respected financial market analyst, with an expertise across Australia, global economies and major currencies. Her highly tuned research skills, and varied writing skills, have allowed her to communicate research and trading advice in many mediums, with successful sales outcomes and positive feedback from a wide client base.

In addition, she has effective presentation skills as well as solid experience with the media (regularly quoted in the media, Sky Business, CNBC and various podcasts including Business Insiders' Devils and Details and The Constant Investor).
